Moving Beyond the Body
It wasn’t easy giving up a successful photography business. Not only was the income more than I could ever have asked for, I knew how much I’d miss connecting with women in such a vulnerable space. I’d miss helping to change perspectives, reignite passion, and put a little BOOM back in some steps. But I knew I wanted more. I wasn’t sure how exactly I was going to do this but I knew I wanted to take women on a deeper journey, beyond the body.
We all have gifts, right? Some of us know a car engine in a way that no one else can. Some of us can just look at a person and know what kind of fashion will bring out their features. Some are born to reach people through painting, house building, makeup and hair styling, joking, or flying a plane safely from point A to point B. Me? I knew what women needed and how they needed it the moment they walked into my studio. I could read where they felt unsure about themselves and what was in their way before even picking up my camera. That’s where my superpowers came in handy.
My three superpowers are, (1) genuinely making people feel at ease and connected to me, (2) using words to shift the way someone sees something, and to uplift and inspire, and (3) problem-solving. These gifts allow me to connect with people in an intimate way that makes them feel safe, which allows me to help them heal by offering guidance and solutions.
Nothing has changed.
